“Home(sick)” Earns Six Nominations at TINFF, Including Best Film and Best Director

Toronto, Ontario Sep 8, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - Accerts Productions proudly announces that Home(sick) - A Journey Within, the debut feature from filmmaker Raúl E. Peyret, has earned six nominations at the prestigious Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF), including Best Film North America, Best Film Foreign Language, Best Drama, Best Director (Thriller/Drama), Best First Feature International, and Best Music Score North America.

The film will celebrate its worldwide premiere at TINFF on September 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the York Woods Library Theatre in Toronto. The worldwide premiere will be followed by a live Q&A with director/producer/star Raúl E. Peyret and lead actor AJ Amber.

Home(sick) follows Alex (Raúl E. Peyret), an Argentinian expatriate living in Seattle, who returns to his homeland in search of connection. There he meets Felix (AJ Amber), an artist whose unconventional approach to life and love challenges Alexs understanding of identity and belonging. The film blends humor and heart while delivering authentic LGBTQ+ representation and universal themes of identity, self-discovery, and home.
