Black Connect Announces New Director of Business Development and Launch of Tampa Office with Community Meet - Greet

(Black Connect), the only national chapter and membership-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering small business owners and closing the racial wealth gap through entrepreneurship is proud to announce two milestone developments: the appointment of Kurt Phelps as Director of Business Development, and the opening of its new Tampa office located at Industrious at Sparkman Wharf. 

To celebrate these milestones, Black Connect will host a Meet & Greet / Open House on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM 6:30 PM, welcoming members, corporate partners, and local business leaders for an evening of networking, collaboration, and community building.

The appointment of Kurt Phelps will strengthen Black Connects national growth strategy, focusing on strategic partnerships, corporate sponsorships, chapter expansions and member engagement across its network. The Tampa office launch is part of the organizations broader plan to establish local hubs that deliver meaningful resourceslegal, financial, mentorship and networkingto Black entrepreneurs in key markets.
